How Could Blockchain Technology Help with Journalism’s Difficulties

Abstract:

At present, journalism is facing many challenges, such as the proliferation of false news, the questioning of professional authority, and the failure of traditional business model, which threaten the long-term development of journalism. The emergence of blockchain technology brings hope for the journalism to crack down on false news, rebuild the fact verification system, restore audience’s trust, and improve the content monetizing ability. In reality, the application of blockchain technology in the news industry has a long way to go, which requires the joint efforts of all parties.
